The Arrival Garden reimagines an airport concourse as an intuitive, hospitable threshold. A compass becomes the organising source: a suspended bronze ring and ground inlays establish a shared point of orientation. Four legible routes lead toward boarding, dining, family rest and a local culture gallery. The garden is a calm centre, not an obstacle in circulation. Seats face useful information and onward routes; service desks are visible; planting and warm timber soften an operational environment. A short cultural encounter gives travellers a sense of place without demanding a long visit. The design would offer both direct movement and optional discovery. Cadimore would map passenger needs, emotional states and practical touchpoints from arrival through departure. Wayfinding, hospitality, cultural content and digital services would share one experience brief. Airport and airline specialists would validate security, fire strategy, circulation, cleaning and operational requirements. The ambition is less uncertainty and more useful time, with comfort and orientation supporting the memory of the destination.
The visitor journey
The compass ring and visible service points clarify the next decision. Floor inlays divide into direct paths without enclosing the central garden.
Dining, family rest and a cultural gallery support different waiting needs. Views toward boarding information keep optional discovery connected to the journey.
A final local story and clear onward route complete the threshold. The direct boarding path stays readable for visitors who bypass the garden.
Six perspectives of one place
One place. Different perspectives.
A story in every view.
A compass ring and flowing floor lines make orientation part of a calm garden setting. Hospitality, local culture and quieter rest areas give waiting time a purpose while onward routes remain easy to read.
