Saddle & Silk Atelier
Concept design · Cadimore
Summary
A leather-and-silk atelier turns craftsmanship into the organising activity of a hospitality setting.
The Brief
Give visitors access to the decisions behind a finished object. Making should remain visible and approachable, with enough room for demonstration, handling and conversation.
The Inspiration
Leather has structure; silk moves and drapes. Their contrast suggests a setting where solid worktables sit beneath a softer overhead field.
The Concept
Orange and ivory fabric defines the canopy, while timber benches and material displays establish a series of working islands. The architecture frames the artisan’s hands rather than competing with them.
The Experience
Visitors approach a workbench, observe a making gesture and compare materials with an artisan. The draped canopy keeps the larger room coherent while allowing these small conversations to unfold independently.
The Outcome
Craftsmanship becomes the centre of the brand encounter. The experience gives material knowledge, human skill and hospitality equal visibility, allowing the object to be understood through its making.
