Louis Vuitton — Art of Travel Exhibition
Concept design · Cadimore
Summary
A travel exhibition turns the trunk into both the architectural reference and the object of close discovery.
The Brief
Connect a recognisable travel identity with an informative product route. The exhibition should move from a memorable setting to details of construction, use and collected journeys.
The Inspiration
A trunk carries possessions while accumulating evidence of travel. The concept uses that overlap of function and memory to organise the exhibition.
The Concept
Warm archways frame cases, luggage displays and a central trunk arrangement. Timber tones and repeated rectangular proportions connect the room’s architecture with the objects on show.
The Experience
Guests enter a sequence of framed displays, compare trunks at different scales and approach a hosted presentation. The route moves from the idea of travel to the practical character of the object that accompanies it.
The Outcome
The exhibition makes a product history readable through space. Repeated frames provide continuity, while the individual cases keep the encounter specific to the construction and personality of each object.
