Silk Pavilion
Concept design · Cadimore
Summary
A silk-led creative world connects a sculptural pavilion, a public gathering landscape and a ribbon-based performance.
The Brief
Carry one material identity across exhibition, public space and live expression. Each setting must have its own function while remaining recognisably part of the same idea.
The Inspiration
Silk changes between a flat printed surface, a draped volume and a moving line. Those three states give the project its spatial and performance vocabulary.
The Concept
Orange and ivory ribbons rise from display islands into a looping canopy. In the landscape view, the same line becomes seating and routes; in performance, fabric makes the duration of a gesture visible.
The Experience
Guests progress from a close material encounter to a more open setting for gathering. The live sequence restates the ribbon language through passing, unfurling and ensemble weaving, bringing the object’s movement qualities into view.
The Outcome
The project creates continuity between product, place and performance. The ribbon is more than a motif: it takes a different functional role in each setting while keeping the material story coherent.
