Resonance Pavilion
Concept design · Cadimore
Summary
A field of suspended elements connects a light-and-sound pavilion with participatory public space and an ensemble movement study.
The Brief
Make the relationship between an individual action and a collective field readable across several scales. Interaction should have a clear point of entry and a visible compositional context.
The Inspiration
Resonance begins with a source and travels beyond it. Suspended elements offer a spatial image of that transmission, while a dancer’s repeated phrase offers a bodily one.
The Concept
A luminous overhead wave hangs within a precise pavilion frame. Ground-level circular elements organise participation in the public landscape; the performance uses successive responses to carry one gesture through the ensemble.
The Experience
Visitors encounter the overhead field, approach a control point and explore the surrounding circular route. The live study builds through initiation, relay and shared rhythm, showing the same relation between a local gesture and a wider response.
The Outcome
The project makes participation legible at hand, body and spatial scale. Its coherence comes from the journey of a signal through a field, expressed in different ways rather than repeated as decoration.
