A Passage in Motion
Concept design · Cadimore
Summary
A saddle-shaped bag becomes a sweeping passage, with its lifted strap and curved body connecting the momentum of arrival to places for rest.
The Brief
A saddle-shaped bag carries the language of travel in its lifted strap and sweeping outline. The brief gives that movement a spatial role: a route that draws people through, with places to pause along the curve.
The Inspiration
The saddle form recalls travel, carrying and departure. Its asymmetry and lifted strap suggest a journey already in motion, offering a starting point for a space that changes in appearance as people move around it.
The Concept
The curved body stretches into an open composition with a strap rising above a passage. Lower edges become places to sit, while the sweeping profile links each part into a single gesture that retains the identity of the original object.
The Experience
Visitors follow the sweep, pass beneath the strap and pause along the lower curve. Each turn reveals a different relationship between the open interior and the surrounding setting, making movement itself part of the encounter.
The Outcome
A distinctive silhouette becomes both a route and a meeting place. The sweeping body and lifted strap hold movement and rest together, giving the installation a sense of journey that unfolds through changing views.
